A community-focused NGO restoring dignity, rights and opportunity to widows, orphans and vulnerable families across Northern Nigeria.
Tabitha Mission for Orphans and Widows Int'l (TAMOW) is a community-focused non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2018 by Binta Danmusa and Peter Apeh, a Certified Development Knowledge Facilitator (DKF) who worked with the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC)/Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), now Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Advocacy Project for seven years.
TAMOW was a response to the grave humanitarian crises occasioned by years of insurgency, deadly herdsmen/farmers' clashes, and the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS and other killer diseases on families — especially in Northern Nigeria. TAMOW also exists to alleviate the poverty and harrowing conditions of widows in Nigeria caused by socio-cultural practices that have stripped and alienated them from their rights to inheritance after the death of their husbands. TAMOW is a platform for the achievement of the SDGs relating to women, children and community development.
